Quick, Cheap, Easy & Renter-Friendly Privacy
Are you like me and you don’t open your blinds because not only your neighbors but the entire world driving or walking by can see right into your bedroom or any other room you’d like to have more privacy in?!
I love the light that comes into my bedroom, but since it’s on the ground floor of our home and the windows all face the street, I didn’t open my blinds very often. I wanted to maintain my privacy but still have good light in the room, at least during the day. I love opening my blinds, but I felt like I was on full display when I did.
I found the solution on Amazon. It was perfect. Super easy. And it could be used in any home or apartment. So, yes, it’s renter-friendly for sure!
Here’s what I found and how I figured out the size to order:
1. I found the product on Amazon – Click here to shop!
2. I measured the width and height of the part of the window I wanted to use the privacy window film on. I only wanted to cover half of two windows.
3. When my package arrived, I opened it, read the super simple instructions, and followed them.
4. My windows were the exact width of the privacy film, so I only had to cut the length.
I used the small spray bottle (filled with water) included in the package and the small air bubble smoother. That was a lifesaver and very satisfying to use!
Check out my “before and after” photos and let me know what you think. Do you like this look or would you have done something else?

Here’s the window before I covered it with the blinds up!

Here’s the window after, with the blinds down halfway and the curtains open. Our cat, Bubbles, is wondering what in the world is going on here! 🙂
