I LOVE doing all things DIY and even more, I love a bargain. Other people’s trash often become my treasures after I put my creative touch on them.
My husband and I are in the process of purchasing an old home (built in 1890) that had been lovingly lived in until about 20+ years ago. Then it was empty and lonely. Luckily, there wasn’t too much damage and the couple who we are buying it from, restored it, for the most part, back to its former glory. They installed a new roof. They removed bushes and trees outside. They painted the walls and restored the original woodwork. They remodeled one of the bathrooms and installed brand new carpet downstairs, on the stairs and in the hallway upstairs. I have plans to do even more to turn this house into a well curated home.
I plan to document all of the projects that I tackle in the house and others that are just fun, interesting and that you can do yourself, affordably. I will share all the before, the steps it takes to do the project, the materials needed and the after or final outcome.
