#72 – Really…the government found money…and it’s yours!
There’s a great website where you can search a National Directory in the United States and Canada for missing money or funds in accounts that you might not even realize are yours for the taking. The types of things the directory will search for are:
- Bank accounts and safe deposit box contents, stocks, mutual funds, bonds, and dividends
- Uncashed checks and wages
- Insurance policies, CD’s, trust funds
- Utility deposits, escrow accounts
If you have moved alot, had to pay a few utility deposits in your day, or maybe had a relative pass away that possibly designated you as their beneficiary to an insurance policy or could have set up a trust fund for you without your knowledge, you could be pleasantly surprised. Check out all the states or provinces that you have lived or where you could possibly be the beneficiary of some lost assets at missingmoney.com.
